Class cancellations in May - update
Virginian Rehabilitation and Wellness, now Arete Health PT, update.
HIIT classes on Mondays are cancelled for the rest of May, and will resume on Tuesday, June 2 at 12:10 pm with Chandler and Vic. Please note the new day/time.
Online programs with Josefa and John Dual Task for Parkinson's, Voice, Speech and Communication, Zumba Gold for Parkinson's, and Maintain Your Brain.
Josefa and John are taking a break to attend WPC 2026. Classes will cancelled from Thursday, May 21 to Friday May 29, resuming again on Monday, June 1st.

The morning will begin with a presentation by Nova ScriptsCentral about better hearing and speech. Where? Sweet Run State Park, Hillsboro
Sweet Run State Park opened in 2023 and is the first state park in Loudoun County. It is located in a valley between Short Hill Mountain and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This park is located in Hillsboro, VA, approximately 4 miles from Harper’s Ferry. Our trail will take us along streams, through the forest, meadows, and mountain-side terrain. |

This hike should take approximately 60-90 minutes. Continue to enjoy your day by visiting Harpers Ferry National Historic Park or one of the many wineries and breweries in Loudoun County.

Sky Meadows State Park is a 1,900-acre park on the Eastern side of the Blue Ridge located near Paris, VA. This park has scenic views, woodlands, and the rolling pastures of a historic farm. Our hike will allow us to enjoy all of these features. The park is also designated as an International Dark Sky Park and holds monthly astronomy programs. In fact, the night before our hike (Saturday, June 13) will be the next Astronomy for Everyone event. You can check out all the details here.

Hike + History at the Manassas Battlefield Park

Manassas National Battlefield Park preserves the site of two major American Civil War battles: the First Battle of Bull Run, also called the Battle of First Manassas, and the Second Battle of Bull Run, or Battle of Second Manassas. This was where Confederate General Thomas J. Jackson acquired his nickname “Stonewall”. The park encompasses nearly 5,100 acres of land and includes more than 40 miles of hiking trails.
Easy Hike: Please note there is a gentle hill, unpaved terrain, and very little shade on this hike. Dogs are welcome on a leash. |
