Snowstorm in northern Virginia may affect classes on 2/23

Classes cancelled on Monday, February 23

  • UpEnding Parkinson's at Sportrock Alexandria

  • Dance for PD at BalletNova, Falls Church

Generally, when Fairfax County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, IPMDC in-person classes are cancelled.

However, there was some confusion with a recent storm when schools were closed for many days, during which time IPMDC classes were open for people who could travel safely.

If you can travel safely to in-person classes, but you're not sure if your class is open, please contact your instructor before heading out.

Another one of the pillars of brain health is mental health and stress management. We live in a time of unpredictability, and there are many things that can seem out of our control. This month, we will learn more about how depression, anxiety, and stress can impact our cognitive health, and learn practical ways to safeguard our brain. We are privileged to have Dr. Mirjana Ivanisevic join us for this discussion. Dr. Ivanisevic is a clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychology, and she works very closely with Dr. Pauldurai in the assessment and treatment of cognitive disorders.
